Washington Trip Report - part 18 - Rimrock Lake
Continuing west on towards White Pass....
The closer I got to the pass the greener and wetter things got. This is definitely a big change from where I was a few hours earlier. It wasn't raining yet, but it sure looked like it wanted to.

There was a tunnel, which led to forested hills.

Soon I came to Rimrock Lake where I could pull off the road to take photos in a few places.

The highway goes along a narrow strip between the lake on the right and a rock face on the left.

There was some snow on the mountain on the far side of the lake.

The triangular rock on the far side of the lake is Klochman Rock.

Further west the lake wasn't very full and there was lots of sand, with cars driving way out onto the sand. There are two vehicles in this photo - one relatively close one on the right and one tiny speck way out by the water's edge.

The upper end of the lake barely had any water - just a bit of river running through it.

After passing the lake, the highway was surrounded by forest.
